Pakistani Charged in Texas

25 09 2013

It has been a long time since my last post. I apologize. Been super busy with our PCS move and dealing with getting internet and all that fun stuff. Since my husband and I just moved to Texas, compliments of being a military spouse, I found an article that hits close to “home”. A 45-year-old man by the name of Mohammad Jamal Rashid, a legal resident of Houston, has been named  in a seven-count indictment charging conspiracy, trafficking in counterfeit and misbranded pills, introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce and smuggling.

This case involved more than 7,000 counterfeit erectile dysfunction pills. These pills were allegedly sent to his home last year. He faces up to 20-years in prison IF convicted of smuggling. He could face additional time if he is found guilty of the other accounts that I’ve previously listed and possibly a fine of as much as $2 million.
