I found an article titled “Three Facing Prison for Trafficking in Fake Drugs and Steroids” by Paula McMahon as I was searching for some interesting articles dealing with counterfeits.

Court records show that three men in Florida are pleading guilty to conspiracy to traffic in counterfeit drugs.

Frank Fiore, of Parkland was the latest to reach a plea agreement. He was arrested with Gary Lee Jones, 55, of Boca Raton, and Anthony Carbone, 32, of Deerfield Beach in August this year.

Fiore pleaded guilty to the trafficking in counterfeit drugs conspiracy charge and a second charge of distribution of controlled substances that included counterfeit anti-anxiety drugs and steroids.

Jones pleaded guilty to the trafficking charge, admitting he sold thousands of counterfeit Xanax pills, with an estimated value of between $10,000 and $30,000, to undercover agents. He is also the same man who has a connection to the investigation that led to disgraced baseball celebrity Alex Rodriguez’s year-long suspension from the game.

Carbone pleaded guilty to the counterfeit drugs trafficking conspiracy and also admitted distributing controlled substances that included counterfeit Xanax and steroids.
